About Jenny Olson-Paden

I got my start in 2013 with Team Olson Properties, where I jumped straight into short sales and REOs. It was messy, complicated, and exactly where I needed to be. That’s also where I created Short Sale Help KC, which became a go to resource for homeowners trying to figure out what the heck to do when things weren’t going according to plan.

In 2021, I joined the Lumos Team and expanded things in a big way. Short Sale Help KC grew into National Short Sale Help, which opened the door for me to coach and train agents across the country. Teaching is one of my favorite parts of what I do. That said, I focus on properties where I’m licensed, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma, because I like being in the trenches, not just talking about it.

I’ve built my business around the side of real estate most people avoid. The hard conversations. The complicated situations. The deals that don’t fit in a nice, clean box. That’s where I do my best work, figuring out options, building a plan, and helping people move forward when they feel stuck.

At home, life is full. My husband Aron have raised our three boys, and we’ve somehow accumulated a whole lineup of animals along the way. It’s loud, a little chaotic, and exactly how I like it.

I also spend a lot of time volunteering with Jackson County CASA, advocating for kids in the foster care system. That work matters to me on a different level. I’m also involved with the Heart of America Aquarium Society, which fits right in with the zoo we’ve got going on at home.


At the end of the day, I care about people. I care about doing things right. And I show up, especially when things get hard, because that’s usually when it matters most.
